How to make a Minecraft Randomizer server
A Minecraft Randomizer server shuffles every drop in the game: break oak leaves and get diamonds, kill a chicken and get netherite scrap. On JetRift you make one by choosing Randomizer, naming it, and sending your friends the address. It takes about ninety seconds, with nothing to install, because the shuffling happens on the server. It runs Minecraft 26.2 on Java Edition.
What gets shuffled
Every block you break and every mob you kill gives something other than what it should. Everything else is untouched: recipes, biomes, structures and mobs are all exactly where you left them, and the only thing that changed is which of them gets you what you need.
The shuffle is one to one, so everything in the game is still obtainable. A world where three blocks all give dirt and nothing at all gives wood would not be a hard game, it would be an unwinnable one.
Starting a world
- Create a Randomizer world and send your friends the address.
- Break something. Find out what it gives.
- Run /randomizer to see the seed your world was built from.
- Share that seed and somebody else can play exactly the same shuffle.
The seed is the world
The whole shuffle comes from a single number, so a world is described completely by that number rather than by a file. Two worlds on the same seed are the same game, and a restart never deals a different one to people who are halfway through.
It is also sorted before shuffling, which means a Minecraft update that adds a block in the middle of the list does not quietly rearrange a world somebody is already playing.
What it costs
Nothing while JetRift is in early access. No credit card, three worlds per account, and a hundred and fifty hours a month across all of them. The world sleeps when nobody is on it and wakes up when somebody joins.
Make one now. Free, no card, and about ninety seconds from here to an address you can send your friends.
Start a worldCommon questions
Can the game become impossible?
No. Every drop is paired one to one, so everything remains obtainable somewhere. It may take a while to find out where.
Does anybody need to install anything?
No. The shuffling happens on the server, so everybody joins with ordinary Minecraft Java Edition.
Can I look up what something gives?
Operators can, and so can anyone in creative mode. For everybody else finding out is the game, so the lookup politely refuses.
Will a restart change my world?
No. A seed is chosen once on the first start and kept, so the world you come back to is the world you left.
