JetRift

Run a timed auction with a clear settlement rule

JetRift setup guide · Updated · Plugin v0.1.0

Use an auction when you want players to compete over the price rather than buy a fixed offer. Explain the important rule first: a bid is an offer, not reserved money. The final item-and-coin exchange happens only when the expired auction is settled.

Add Auction House to your world

  1. Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
  2. Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
  3. Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.

JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.

List a bundle with a minimum and duration

In Survival, keep the ordinary goods in your main inventory and create an auction. This example offers four iron ingots, starts bidding at five coins and lasts five minutes. Durations range from thirty seconds to one day. Record the auction number and keep the stock available.

/ah sell iron_ingot 4 5 300
/ah list

Bid with enough cash and room for the result

A bidder increases the offer using the actual auction ID. The seller cannot bid on their own auction. Because coins are not held, a winning bidder must still have enough spendable cash later; depositing everything in the bank or spending it elsewhere can prevent settlement.

/ah bid 1 6

Settle after expiry with both sides ready

After the timer ends, the seller or winning bidder can settle. Both must be online in Survival, the seller needs the stock and the winner needs inventory room. An interrupted settlement retains its saved request; reconnect both participants and retry that original auction, rather than listing the same sale again.

/ah settle 1

Limits and compatibility

These instructions are for JetRift’s own Auction House plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
