Pay miners without rewarding placed-block farming
Use Jobs when you want normal resource gathering to produce a predictable amount of money. The first job is Miner. Its daily earning cap lets you set a useful income without making every placed block a source of coins, and players collect their earnings when ready.
Add Jobs to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.
Set the earning rate before players join
An operator chooses eligible block IDs, payout per confirmed break and the daily earning limit. Lists use comma-separated IDs without spaces. These examples pay half a coin for natural coal or iron ore and cap the day at one hundred coins. Command money values are coins, not hundredths.
/jobs set blocks coal_ore,deepslate_coal_ore,iron_ore,deepslate_iron_ore
/jobs set payout 0.50
/jobs set daily_limit 100Join Miner and compare progress
A player joins the job, mines eligible naturally occurring blocks in Survival and checks status. The plugin confirms that the mined block actually changed after the mining event. A protected or cancelled break should not become income, and eligible blocks placed by players do not pay.
/jobs join
/jobs statusCollect and keep the distinction clear
Use collect to move unclaimed earnings into Shop cash, then inspect the balance. Collecting again without more work should not pay twice. Leaving Miner stops new job earnings but does not erase money already earned. A new daily period resets the daily allowance while preserving unclaimed pay.
/jobs collect
/balance
/jobs leaveCheck the result
- Mine a known eligible natural block and compare the unclaimed amount with the configured payout.
- Place and break an eligible block as a player; it should not pay. Restart and check that unclaimed earnings remain collectible once.
Limits and compatibility
- This release provides mining, not separate farming, fishing or building professions.
- Shop supplies the balance. Operator setblock changes intentionally do not count as player placement history.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Jobs plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
