JetRift

Reward long-term Mining levels with coins

JetRift setup guide · Updated · Plugin v0.1.0

Skills is useful when you want mining to have a longer progression curve than a single quest. Players gain Mining XP from eligible natural blocks and separately claim the coins earned by new levels. Start with a modest level threshold so the first reward is easy to verify.

Add Skills to your world

  1. Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
  2. Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
  3. Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.

JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.

Choose an XP curve and reward

As an operator, set eligible blocks and XP per block, then choose how much XP makes a level. A maximum level bounds the progression. The payout is coins per newly claimed level; it is not an amount awarded on every mined block. Inspect status after changing the curve.

/skills set blocks coal_ore,deepslate_coal_ore
/skills set xp_per_block 1
/skills set xp_per_level 100
/skills set max_level 50
/skills set payout 5

Earn XP from confirmed natural breaks

Mine the configured natural blocks in Survival and watch the XP and level counter. Player-placed target blocks are excluded, and cancelled breaks do not become progress. Keep Jobs and Quests separate in your explanation: they may observe the same mining, but their counters and reward schedules are different.

Claim only the levels that are new

When levels are available, claim once and compare your cash balance. A second claim without another level should award nothing. Lowering a server level cap limits the current curve; avoid repeatedly changing thresholds on a live world without explaining the new progression to players.

Limits and compatibility

These instructions are for JetRift’s own Skills plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
