Choose a mining enchantment that matches your economy
Custom Enchantments offers two concrete mining upgrades. Wisdom adds Minecraft experience after eligible natural mining, while Sustenance reduces food exhaustion. Use a small price and a clear level cap while you verify the effects, then balance them against the money players earn from your world.
Add Custom Enchantments to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.
Set prices, levels and eligible blocks
Operators set the price per purchased level, maximum level and eligible block list. Command prices use coins. This example prices a level at ten coins and keeps the cap at three. The block filter applies to both effects, so choose resources where you actually want the upgrades to matter.
/enchants set enchant_price 10
/enchants set max_enchant_level 3
/enchants set blocks stone,coal_ore,deepslate_coal_ore
/enchants listHold the intended tool before buying
In Survival, select the pickaxe, axe, shovel or hoe you want to upgrade. Check cash and buy the requested level: level two costs twice the configured per-level price. Existing enchantments and components are preserved. Buying the same level again should refuse rather than charge for no improvement.

/enchants buy wisdom 2
/enchants buy sustenance 1Test an actual natural break
Mine an eligible natural block. Wisdom adds its level in XP; Sustenance removes 0.1 exhaustion per effective level after mining, never below zero. It does not instantly refill hunger. Lowering the configured cap also limits an already stronger tool, and disabling the plugin setting stops the effects.
/enchants listCheck the result
- Compare cash before and after one purchase, then repeat that level and confirm no second charge.
- Test on a natural eligible block, then an excluded or player-placed block. Check the behavior again after a normal restart.
Limits and compatibility
- The first release applies these two effects to held mining tools, not arbitrary armor powers or a general custom-enchantment editor.
- Purchases use Shop. Let any reserved purchase recover on its original tool slot instead of replacing saved transaction data.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Custom Enchantments plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
