Offer earned crate rewards with visible odds
Reward Crates turns earned virtual keys into a configurable random item reward. Keep the reward list small enough for players to understand and publish the weights before distributing keys. Shop is included for the shared inventory coordinator, even though opening a crate does not spend coins.
Add Reward Crates to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.
Set rewards and inspect the whole pool
An operator can add or update an item, quantity and positive weight. A weight is a share of the complete pool, not a percentage by itself. Adding a reward does not remove the defaults, so inspect the entire preview and adjust the private configuration if you want a different complete set.
/crates reward iron_ingot 4 3
/crates reward diamond 1 1
/crates previewGrant keys for an announced activity
Grant a small number to an online player after your event or challenge. Replace Alex with the actual player name. Keys are virtual balances rather than physical items, so players use the keys command to see what they hold. Explain your earning rule outside the command: the plugin does not infer every server event.
/crates give Alex 2
/crates keysOpen with space and check one consumption
A player should preview the pool, leave inventory room and open one crate. Verify that exactly one key disappears. A full inventory refuses delivery before consuming a key. If recovery reserves the inventory after an interruption, let the original delivery complete instead of granting another key as a workaround.
/crates preview
/crates open
/crates keysCheck the result
- Test with a full inventory and confirm the key balance stays unchanged.
- Open once, restart normally and confirm that the consumed key does not return or deliver the reward again.
Limits and compatibility
- Keys are earned or granted in game; this release includes no real-money purchases.
- Rewards are ordinary vanilla items, with command previews rather than a cinematic crate animation or custom item designer.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Reward Crates plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
