Give new players a useful starter kit
A small starter kit can get players building without handing out an entire late-game inventory. Define the contents first, explain whether the kit repeats, and check the claim as a regular player. Shop is included as the shared inventory coordinator even when the kit itself costs no coins.
Add Kits to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
JetRift includes Shop and Economy automatically. A required plugin cannot be removed while this plugin needs it.
Create and preview a modest bundle
An operator can define a named kit using an ordinary Minecraft item, quantity and cooldown in seconds. This example supplies sixteen bread once per day. Defining an existing name replaces that definition, so choose a new name while experimenting and preview the result before announcing it.
/kit define provisions bread 16 86400
/kit preview provisions
/kit listChoose repeating or one-time access
For a one-time reward, add once after the cooldown argument. A permission restriction is optional; use a node granted by your rank setup, or remove the restriction with none. Giving a kit a new name creates a different claim identity, so avoid renaming rewards simply to change their description.
/kit define welcome oak_log 16 0 once
/kit permission welcome none
/kit preview welcomeClaim it under normal play conditions
Have a regular player leave room in their main inventory and claim the kit. Repeat the command to confirm the cooldown or one-time message rather than another bundle. If inventory is full, clear space and retry: the failed delivery should not consume eligibility. Keep the plugin enabled while an interrupted delivery recovers.
/kit claim provisions
/kit claim welcomeCheck the result
- Compare the preview with the actual item quantities, then attempt the same claim again.
- After a normal restart, check that a previously used one-time kit remains unavailable.
Limits and compatibility
- Kits create ordinary vanilla items; this release does not provide a visual kit editor or arbitrary custom item templates.
- Unexpected inventory changes during interrupted recovery are kept reserved for reconciliation instead of inventing replacement items.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Kits plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
