JetRift

Protect a small base and trust the right friend

JetRift setup guide · Updated · Plugin v0.2.0

Start by claiming the footprint of a small base, not as much land as the command will allow. Land Claims protects rectangular columns through every height. Knowing who owns the ground and who is trusted is more useful than guessing that a chest or door is protected.

Add Land Claims to your world

  1. Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
  2. Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
  3. Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.

Create and inspect the footprint

Stand near the center and request a small square claim, or use corner mode at two opposite corners for a rectangle. The example radius eight makes a seventeen-by-seventeen square if it fits the configured limits. Overlaps and size or area limits are refused with a reason; inspect claim information before extending your build.

Trust one known player and test both cases

While standing inside your claim, trust the intended friend, replacing Alex with a player who has joined the world. Trust allows building and use within this claim; it is not a grant of operator access. Ask a different untrusted player to try a harmless break or chest interaction, then remove trust if it was only a test.

/untrust Alex

Test without an operator bypass

Operators normally bypass claims, so a successful operator break does not prove the ordinary-player rule failed. Toggle your bypass for controlled checks and inspect protection status. Removing a claim is deliberate: confirm the location or ID first rather than repeatedly unclaiming while exploring a boundary.

Limits and compatibility

These instructions are for JetRift’s own Land Claims plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
