JetRift

Send players into wilderness with a checked landing

JetRift setup guide · Updated · Plugin v0.1.0

Random Teleport helps new players leave a busy spawn without requiring an operator to choose every destination. It searches for a usable surface rather than teleporting to arbitrary coordinates. Begin with a modest radius so you can understand the results before expanding the world’s exploration area.

Add Random Teleport to your world

  1. Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
  2. Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
  3. Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.

Inspect the search limits

Operators can inspect settings and choose a maximum radius, warmup and cooldown. Radius values are blocks; warmup uses ticks and cooldown uses seconds. The default allowed dimension is the Overworld. Larger searches can load or generate candidate chunks, so increasing the radius is a resource decision as well as a travel rule.

/rtp config
/rtp set max_radius 256
/rtp set warmup_ticks 60
/rtp set cooldown_seconds 120

Request a destination while standing still

A regular player starts the search from the allowed world and waits through warmup. Movement, damage, a dimension change or permission loss cancels the request. The plugin checks a solid floor, headroom and known hazards; a bounded search can refuse if it does not find an acceptable candidate.

Decide whether claims access is required

If you choose to require claim access, first make sure Land Claims is enabled and answering access requests. A missing or refused response must not be treated as permission to land. Test the ordinary player path instead of relying solely on an operator who may have broader permissions.

Limits and compatibility

These instructions are for JetRift’s own Random Teleport plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
