Set up a controlled exploding-block challenge
Exploding every mined block changes a world quickly. Inspect the current state before anybody starts digging, then test with one consenting player in a disposable area. A low-power, non-destructive trial lets you confirm the trigger without turning the first demonstration into a crater.
Add Explosive Mining to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
Stop the trigger while choosing settings
Operators can switch it off, inspect status and set a small power. Turn surrounding block damage, entity damage and fire off for the first demonstration. Creative participation is a separate switch. Settings persist, so do not assume a new connection resets the challenge or undoes the previous operator’s choices.

Add the intended player and choose list scope before enabling the trigger. Replace Alex with the participant. Have them mine an ordinary permitted block in Survival; its normal break completes first, with the queued explosion one tick later. Other players should remain unaffected by list-scoped triggers.

Check status counters and the actual surrounding area. If you later enable block or entity damage, do so away from buildings with a backup and a clearly explained rule. Blasts have an area beyond the original block. Finish a temporary event by turning the trigger off rather than only removing somebody from the list.

- Compare a listed and unlisted player, and confirm a cancelled protected break does not trigger the challenge.
- Restart normally and inspect scope, creative participation and damage settings before resuming.
Limits and compatibility
- This is a mining-triggered explosion challenge, not a land-protection system. A blast can reach beyond the mined location.
- Rate limits can skip extra explosions during fast mining; non-player destruction is excluded to avoid chaining triggers indefinitely.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Explosive Mining plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
