Operators start a square region around their current location with /pregen start <radius-blocks>. By default the job works only while nobody is online, at most one chunk per second, and below a 35ms average tick-time limit.
Progress is checkpointed only after the world has been saved. An interrupted server may repeat a few already generated chunks rather than claiming unsaved work is complete. Pause, resume and cancel are persisted.
The default maximum radius is 256 blocks, configurable up to 384. Engine border and loaded-chunk resource limits still apply; a refused load pauses the job with an explanation. This is an operator tool, not an unlimited background generator.
Read the World Pregenerator setup guide for practical examples, checks and current limits.
What it does
- Configurable radius cap, interval, MSPT throttle, empty-server policy and checkpoint batch.
- One chunk load per scheduled interval; never loops over the whole region at once.
- Status shows completed work separately from the last durable checkpoint.

Adding it to a server needs a restart. Disable it from the server's Plugins tab and the plugin's files are removed at the next restart; its settings stay, so turning it on again picks up where you left off.
