Let players sit and crawl without getting stuck
Pose commands are a small social addition to a meeting area or roleplay build. Start in open space so players can see how to leave a pose before trying a low tunnel. Sitting uses a temporary seat, while crawling uses the swimming posture on land.
Add Sit and Crawl to your world
- Open the plugin page and choose an existing world you own, or create a new world with the plugin selected.
- Check the included requirements. Each world supports up to eight plugins, including dependencies.
- Start a sleeping world, or use the dashboard restart option for a running world. Adding, removing and updating plugins takes effect when the world restarts; coordinate with anyone playing.
Try the basic poses in an open area
A player can sit, stand again and then try crawling. Moving or dismounting ends sitting; crawling allows movement. Avoid testing your first pose inside a tight decorative chair, because the plugin is a command system rather than automatic recognition of every stair or slab build.
/sit
/stand
/crawlSet a sensible time limit
Operators can inspect the current settings and independently allow sitting or crawling. This example keeps both enabled with a five-minute maximum. Settings changes are validated and saved, so inspect the configuration afterward rather than assuming a misspelled key changed anything. The maximum duration is measured in seconds.
/sit config
/sit set allow_sit on
/sit set allow_crawl on
/sit set max_seconds 300Check cleanup where players will use it
Try stand with full headroom, then test a short crawl tunnel with a safe exit. If there is not enough room to stand, cleanup waits until there is space; move into the opening instead of repeatedly reconnecting. Damage, permission loss, dimension changes and the time limit also end active poses.
/stand
/sit configCheck the result
- Have another player watch one sit and dismount cycle; the temporary seat should not accumulate after cleanup.
- Reconnect and confirm that no stale seat or forced posture remains. Repeat on the client versions your group actually uses.
Limits and compatibility
- There is no lay command or automatic chair interaction in this release.
- Visual posture depends on the connected client version; installing a shared command does not prove identical physical Bedrock and Java rendering.
These instructions are for JetRift’s own Sit and Crawl plugin. JetRift does not install arbitrary Paper, Spigot, Forge or Fabric extensions. Commands use player names from your world; replace example names before running them. Operators can use the dashboard Console without the leading slash.
