Play together across modern Java versions

Updated November 4, 2026.

JetRift worlds accept Minecraft Java releases 1.13 through 26.3. Friends can use different supported Java versions in the same world. Compatibility is included; no plugin install is needed.

How to join

  1. Open your supported Minecraft Java release on Windows, Mac or Linux.
  2. Choose Multiplayer → Add Server and paste the world’s address from its JetRift dashboard.
  3. Join the server. Your world starts automatically if it is asleep.

Java 26.3 is recommended for the complete set of current blocks, items and features. Older clients see substitutes for things introduced after their release, and some newer interfaces and mechanics may differ. Snapshots and future releases need separate compatibility updates.

Bedrock is separate: use Bedrock 26.60 and the dashboard’s Bedrock address and port. Bedrock joining steps.

Optional cracked accounts with sign-in

World owners can enable Options → Access → Allow cracked accounts. It is off by default. Read the warning before enabling it, keep the whitelist on, and only grant operator powers to players you know.

Offline players wait outside the world in a sign-in lobby. They cannot enter, interact with blocks or use the world’s inventory until signed in.

Choose a unique password of 12–128 bytes without spaces. Never reuse your email or Minecraft password. Sign-in belongs to this world; it does not create a JetRift website account. Passwords are stored as hashes, and repeated attempts are limited.

An unused offline name belongs to the first person who registers it. Existing player and operator names are reserved. Names identified as paid Minecraft accounts require Minecraft account verification; a failed verification never falls back to offline sign-in. Offline identities are separate from verified Minecraft identities, so inventories can differ.

If a player forgets their world password, the owner can generate a temporary password in Options → Access → Reset a player’s world password. Share it privately. Resetting sign-in does not reset their inventory.
