Join from Minecraft Bedrock

The world owner must enable Allow Bedrock players in Options and restart the world. If you cannot see this option, choose the latest Butternut version in Software first. Existing worlds keep their current software until you change it.

  1. Update Minecraft Bedrock to 26.60 and sign in to Xbox.
  2. Open Play → Servers → Add Server.
  3. Enter the Bedrock address shown on the world's dashboard, such as oak-fox.jetrift.com.
  4. Use port 19132, unless the dashboard shows another port, then join.
  5. On your first connection, Minecraft may ask you to trust this server.

If the world is sleeping, joining starts it. A long start may require another attempt once it is ready.

Controls

Combat follows Java attack timing. After a hit, a short recharge indicator appears above your hotbar; wait for Attack ready for full damage.

Type /offhand in chat to swap your selected item with your offhand. No operator permission is needed. Bedrock’s inventory and use controls still limit which offhand items it lets you use directly; the command lets you store or swap other items there too.

Your name and progress

Bedrock names begin with a dot and use underscores for spaces: Some Player becomes .Some_Player. Give that name to the owner if they use a whitelist. Java and Bedrock accounts have separate inventories and progress.

Java and Bedrock players can share the same world. Java resource packs are not automatically converted for Bedrock.

These steps apply to Windows, Android and iOS. Consoles that do not show Add Server need a separate connection method.
